Crystal Reports: “Conversion from UTF8 to charset failed”

Environment:

  •  SAP BI 4.0 SP3
  •  Oracle Database 11g UTF8

Issue:

When running a crystal report from within the BI Launch Pad, I encounter following error: “Conversion from UTF8 to charset failed : Encoding not loaded”

The report is built on a Oracle 11g UTF8-database.

Resolution:

Add “C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64” to the PATH environment variable on the SAP Business Objects Enterprise machine

Reboot the server.

kr,

Hans

I have tried the above steps to the PATH environment variable on the SAP Business Objects Enterprise machine and rebooted the SIA server. But it still not resolves the issue and other servers like Crystal report server,Webi intelligence server and connection servers are getting failed when rebooting the sia server.

Could you please help me to resolve the issue, where i can exactly add the path in the server so that other servers won’t get failed.

      Hi,

Do you have the ORACLE_HOME/bin added to your PATH environment variable? If not, please try.

      Hope this helps
